well well well. it's approaching the weekend and i'm so glad! lol~ even though i may have to complete the hw that will be due next week. LOL~ so far, school has been alright for me. it's just that i'm disturbed by what i saw in lab today!! ARGHH~ we were experimenting with fruit flies. yes, we were. and we'll still continue until the rest of the semester? okay, that is just great. who ask me to choose fruit flies as the model organism project? well, no one. but i thought experimenting on fruit flies will be interesting though... anyway, back to my horrifying experience with the fruit flies. i was supposed to tranfer the flies from one vial to another. so when i was about to close the vial with a sponge, i saw something white wriggling about on the sponge! EWW~ a freaking fruit fly larva. urgh~ i guess i have to get used to that horrible creature which i thought previously to be fun to work with? ok, maybe it's fun when we were able to anesthesize them and scrutinize them under the microscope.. but other than that? (shake my head)
